The sparkling Junior-Olympic pool is the centerpiece of the Recreation Center. It is surrounded by a magnificent deck of pavers, palm trees and  a large grass activity area. With the temperature of the pool kept warm in the cool months and cooled in the warmer months, members and resort guests need never miss a day of exercise, fun or just relaxing by the pool.

Fun activities on the spacious paved sun decks are planned on a regular basis including Family Nights, Barbecues and Cookouts.

For smaller children we have a fenced Splash Pad featuring a Mushroom Cap Waterfall, Tea Cup and more. Directly beside the Splash Pad, is our covered Playground, which is also fenced for our younger members and guests. Fenced off from the main pool, it offers a sense of security for all.

Emerald Greens is also the home of the Carrollwood Village Swim Team, a competitive USA Swimming Team, the Carrollwood Village Master's Swimming Program and an adult team for competitors, triathletes, or just those who enjoy swimming laps and being part of a fun group, and a SwimAmerica swim lesson program for children and adults of all ages.

Delicious salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers and more are prepared poolside, at the Oasis Bar & Grille, and our members and guests can enjoy sipping cool beverages made to order while unwinding and socializing. The Oasis is closed for the months of November, December, January and February, but beverages and snacks are available at the Rec Center Desk or you may order food from the Dining Room Grill to be picked up.

Emerald Greens also features an extremely active tennis membership. Our Certified Tennis Professionals are on staff to assist you with your tennis game. We have eight recently resurfaced Hydro tennis courts that are available to our members and resort guests, accented with brilliant lighting for nighttime play.

Leagues, clinics, lessons, singles, doubles, camps, tournaments, plus an on-going schedule of social opportunities with fellow tennis players are all a part of our tennis experience here at Emerald Greens.

Our state of the art Fitness Center is located in the Rec Center featuring Life Fitness equipment, cardio and weights. We offer a wide range of fitness classes including  Yoga, Ballroom Dance, Tai Chi Flow, Karate, Abs/Butt Workout, Cardi Kickboxing, Zumba and Balance/Core Workout.  Workout at your own leisure, join a class, or spend some time with one of our Trainers,we can guarantee at the end you will feel energized.
