About Emerald Greens Country Club

Emerald Greens was originally founded in the early 70’s as Carrollwood Village Golf & Country Club. The club was very successful in those years and at one time had as many as 1,000 golf members. The club was also honored to host one of the first Senior Tour Golf Tournaments which included the like of Arnould Palmer and Sam Snead to name a few. Fast forward 30 years to 2003 and the club underwent an extensive renovation. Not only were the golf courses rebuilt, but they were also redesigned under the guidance of the Dan Maples Golf Design Company. It took two years to renovate all 27 holes.  In addition to the golf course, the clubhouse, cart barn, pool & tennis facilities were constructed to create the new Emerald Greens Country Club. In 2011 Convergent Capital Partners, a Tampa based Real Estate Company, purchased EGCC. Convergent is extremely excited to own the property and is looking forward to growing the membership and operating a profitable facility. In August of 2011 Convergent began working towards the goal of making Emerald Greens the best club experience in Tampa Bay. In 2012 EGCC completed numerous capital improvement projects highlighted by the regrassing of the Pine & Meadow courses. Beginning in May the Pine course underwent a Champion Ultradwaf regrassing of the greens project that took eight weeks to complete. Once opened the Meadow course then closed and underwent the same regrassing. It also opened in eight weeks and both courses have been received extremely well by the membership. The Cypress course is currently being regrassed and will be open the end of June.
