Meet Our Pro Shop Staff...
Director of Golf - Jerry Couzynse
Jerry Couzynse is a graduate of Ferris State University's Professional Golf Management program and was elected to PGA Membership in 1989. Jerry has over 20 years experience at prestigious golf facilities and has been responsible for creating and administrating thousands of golf tournaments from informal to PGA tour events. As a PGA Class -A member, Jerry is proficient in all aspects of the golf business to include golf instruction, merchandising and playing ability. Jerry is an Arnold Palmer certified instructor and was awarded West Central Chapter PAGE merchandiser of the year in 2008.
Hank Davis - Director of Instruction
Hank has been a member of the PGA since 1964. He has held offices in both the Florida Section and the West Central Chapter PGA. Hank taught for several years at Ben Sutton Golf School in Florida. During his long career in golf he served as General Manager of some of the area's finest clubs including Avila, Old Memorial, and Grey Oaks. He is also employed by Callaway Golf Company as a Demo Day Representative and club fitter. Hank's teaching is based on fundamentals. He works with the player's individual ability and strives to impart the basics of the proper impact position. He specializes in short game instruction and offers video swing analysis, playing lessons and club fitting. You may contact Hank for an appointment by calling 813-244-0782.
Heather Hingson - Assistant Golf Professional
 Heather Hingson is a Tampa native and has been involved in the golf industry for over 10 years. Heather played for 4 years on the University of South Florida team and has participated in a number of Future's Tour events. Heather is interested in teaching students in a very individualized manor. Her unique style is applicable for men and women of all ages and ability levels.
Jesse Pratt - Assistant Golf Professional
Brian Thornbury - Assistant Golf Professional
A third-generation golf professional, Brian Thornbury has over ten years of professional golf experience. Brian is a Class “A” PGA Member and a certified club fitter. A native Floridian, Brian is active in Chapter & Section Tournaments because he enjoys the competition and camaraderie. He teaches golfers of all ages and abilities tailoring his lessons to each student’s goals and potential. Brian teaches proven techniques of the game that can be applied to golfers of any skill level—from beginners to experienced players. Video lessons available upon request.
Moira Dunn-LPGA Tour Player
Moira Dunn is a Professional LPGA Tour Player. She attended Florida International University where she was named Second Team All American while she was on the University's golf team. Moria has had a successful career on the LPGA and continues to do so. Moira's career low round is a 64 and she has had two career hole-in-ones.
Kris Tamulis-LPGA Tour Player
Kris Tamulis, originally from Naples, Florida, grew up in a family of golfers. Her father was a PGA Professional and her parents owned a public course in Michigan. Kris graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Multinational Business and was a four year varsity letter while she was there. Kris was also an all ACC three times (first in school history), held the school record (65), won two tournaments (the Ryder State Collegiate and the Lady Gator Invitational). She was also an NCAA All American in 2003. 2009 is her fifth year on the LPGA and her best finish is a T-13. And congratulations to Kris on winning the Florida Women's Open for 2009!
